APÉRO, where wine and gastronomy meet in Circular Road

Nestled along the charming Circular Road, APÉRO, a cozy and welcoming wine drinking establishment, has quickly become a haven for food and wine enthusiasts seeking respite in the bustling Central Business District. Named after the French tradition of the “Apéritif,” this delightful spot invites patrons to unwind, relax, and savour the moment.

APÉRO, which opened its doors in August, is the brainchild of wine aficionado Pierre Bolly. Enchanted by the venue’s intimate ambience, he embarked on a mission to transform it into a haven for wine lovers and gastronomes alike.
The establishment’s offerings are nothing short of impressive. For lunch, patrons can indulge in a wide selection of gourmet salads and comforting dishes that provide a healthy twist to the traditional lunch options. In the evenings, from 5:30 pm until midnight, APÉRO welcomes guests for a delightful dinner experience. Those who prefer al fresco settings can enjoy wine and drinks on the terrace, which opens from 3pm until midnight.

APÉRO’s extensive wine list, meticulously curated by Pierre himself, boasts wines from esteemed winemakers known for producing exceptional vintages in remarkable climates and terroirs. The selection spans house pours, sparkling, white, and red wines, accommodating all preferences and budgets. From pocket-friendly options to premium and exclusive labels, APÉRO offers a wine selection for every occasion and discerning palate.

Complementing the impressive wine selection is a delectable menu of quality bistro-style cuisine. Starters include Pierre’s favourites, such as Vitello tonnato with capers and rucola, sautéed baby squids with chili flakes and herbs, and fresh Yellow Fin Tuna tartare with avocado. An array of cold cuts, cheeses, and duck rillette adds to the culinary delight.
For those seeking a lighter meal, the gourmet salads are a must-try, featuring premium ingredients like Burratina di Puglia, Fresh Yellow Fin Tuna tataki, and NZ Arakoa Smoked Salmon. Meanwhile, the mains offer a diverse range, including the market-priced Fish of the Day, Slow-cooked Oxtail Pappardelle, and a substantial 600-gram Australian Grass-Fed Beef Ribeye for sharing.

Pierre’s culinary and sommelier expertise, cultivated over 20 years, shines through every aspect of APÉRO. With a background that spans continents, from Michelin Star restaurants in Europe to managing and opening various F&B establishments in Asia, he brings a wealth of knowledge to this charming gem on Circular Road. APÉRO truly encapsulates the essence of the French Apéritif, offering a memorable experience for all those who step through its doors, making it a must-visit destination for food and wine lovers in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District.
