Enjoy a Mao Shan Wang afternoon tea at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel
Capturing the attention of Singaporeans with the mere mention of its name, durian has always been highly sought after for its distinct sweet-bitter flesh and intense creamy flavours. Bringing us a brand new experience in town, the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel proudly reopens Lobby Lounge with the launch of an indulgent Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea.
Presenting a satisfying selection of durian-inspired creations and desserts to enjoy as you take a break from the hustle bustle of Orchard Road, the limited time menu is available from now till May 31.
Conveniently located in the heart of our city, take in the beautiful sun-kissed environment of the lounge within the hotel’s 3-storey atrium as you dig into a slew of durian-centric treats.
Find mouth-watering highlights such as a Durian Chantilly Cream Pate au Choux, generously filled with fresh Mao Shan Wang durian pulp folded into Chantilly cream, fluffy Durian Mochi with durian purée, and a unique Durian Burnt Cheese Tart that marries the strong aroma of durian with fresh cheese, making for a smooth, creamy treat with a subtle smoky finish.
The durian showcase continues with sweets like their Belgian Chocolate Durian Mousse Cake, featuring premium Valrhona gourmet chocolate for an elevated durian dessert, alongside a Durian Panna Cotta with Gula Melaka and Durian Speculoos Cream Cupcake.
On the savoury end of the experience, diners can look forward to a hearty selection of pastries such as the Crab Vol Au Vent, Truffle Egg Salad Waffle, and Mini Chicken Pie.
Perfectly complementing the bold flavours of the Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea, diners get to sip on unlimited servings of TWG teas – famed for their exquisite taste and fragrant notes – as well as fresh coffee.
For an even greater indulgence, choose to head over on a weekend to enjoy a flute of champagne and the weekend-exclusive Pan con Tomate with Joselito Iberico Ham for a rare taste of the best ham in the world.
