Enjoy the Sinpopo Brand restaurant’s heritage-rich flavours now at Tang Plaza

Founded amongst the rich cultural heritage of Katong, the Sinpopo Brand was born with a vision to preserve what has been passed down over generations and pay tribute to the unique Peranakan traditions that once flourished in that vibrant neighbourhood. Filled with passion and dedication, they have come to be recognised as a time-tested purveyor of some of Singapore’s best flavours, serving up heritage-rich experiences with iconic offerings.

Delighting fans and gourmands for almost a decade along Joo Chiat Road, the Sinpopo Brand restaurant has now moved into the snazzy Tang Plaza, presenting foodies with the same delectable dining, time-honoured recipes, and new selections from the heart of our Orchard Road strip.

Highlighting the warmth and tradition of communal dining, the new space will feature new communal dining dishes as well as a new weekend High Tea menu for shoppers looking to enjoy a mid-shopping treat.

At the Sinpopo Brand restaurant, their absolute must-trys include the Signature Nasi Lemak, which, for the uninitiated, features rice so amazingly fragrant that you’ll only keep wanting more. Steamed with ginger, garlic, and pandan leaves, finished over a muslin cloth, drizzled with blue-pea flower, then brushed with freshly cooked oil, this is rice you’ll never forget.

Perfect for all occasions, indulge in a range of stellar local cuisine with highlights such as fork-tender Beef Cheek Rendang made with Sinpopo’s house-made rempah, a truly irresistible Calamari + You Tiao Rojak, and hearty servings of juicy Satay Ayam.

For extra comfort, go for Auntie Mei’s Salted Vegetable Duck Soup, an authentic and rich Nyonya-style soup flavoured with assam and plums, or bite into their Sotong Hitam, made with hand-extracted squid ink and a recipe passed down by the chef’s grandmother herself.

Yet, no Peranakan meal is complete with a taste of their famous Kueh – be sure to not miss out on Sinpopo’s Kueh Platter, featuring delicious Ondeh Ondeh, Bingka Ubi, Kueh Dar, and Kueh Sarlat.
