Exploring the tantalising Tastes of Taiwan at Peppermint Buffet

Experience the tantalizing Tastes of Taiwan at Peppermint, an all-you-can-eat buffet extravaganza running from October 6 to November 12, 2023. This exceptional culinary journey brings together the culinary mastery of Peppermint’s Chef de Cuisine, Leon Yee, and Taiwan’s renowned Chef Alan Ho, who assumed the prestigious role of President of the Taiwan Chefs Association earlier this year.

Chef Alan’s collaboration with Peppermint is not just another culinary event; it’s a celebration of Taiwanese cuisine that transcends borders. With a wealth of culinary knowledge honed through years in the food and beverage industry, Chef Alan has served as a consultant, held executive chef positions at renowned hotels, judged global culinary competitions, and taught at esteemed Taiwanese universities. He currently oversees the Ministry of Taiwan’s Labour Skills Certification in Western Cooking, adding to his impressive credentials.
Savour Chef Alan’s renditions of authentic Taiwanese classics and beloved street food, alongside the restaurant’s renowned international offerings. The transformed Chicken Rice Stall now serves up Taiwan Lou Rou Fan, a hearty dish of rice topped with braised minced pork in soy sauce, complete with a braised egg and pickles. Don’t miss the Taiwanese Chicken Pearl Rice, a premium twist on the beloved chicken rice dish.

The menu also features the all-time favourite Oyster Mee Sua, cooked to perfection in a rich bonito-flavoured, egg-thickened soup, with plump oysters, pork intestine, and a spicy homemade chili sauce for those who crave a kick. These classics are complemented by Taiwanese aboriginal tribe cuisine, offering a rich tapestry of flavours, from smoky Tribal-Style Roast Chicken to succulent Roasted Whole Lamb Leg.
For street food enthusiasts, the buffet offers an array of Taiwanese night market signatures, including Grilled Spiced Cuttlefish, Black Angus Beef Gua Bao, and Grilled Chicken Skewers, capturing the essence of Taiwan’s vibrant street food culture. Finish your culinary journey with sweet treats, including traditional favourites like Taiwanese Castella Cake, Sun Cake, Brown Sugar Soya Milk with Mochi, and Aiyu Jelly with Lime.
Peppermint’s Tastes of Taiwan buffet is a culinary adventure not to be missed, offering a diverse array of Taiwanese and international dishes. Prices range from SGD68++ to SGD108++, making it accessible for both weekday and weekend indulgence.
