Explore Southeast Asia’s largest art fair ever this January
After the past couple of years, things are finally picking up – and it’s high time that the Arts scene get their time of day as well. Calling all arts enthusiasts and aficionados: look out for the largest art fair ever to appear in Southeast Asia as we enter the new year! Happening from 12 – 15 Jan at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, the inaugural ART SG is set to be the biggest art fair launch in the Asia Pacific region within a decade.
Gathering the world’s leading galleries under one roof, the fair will see more than 150 participating galleries from all corners of the globe present programmes that will definitely fascinate you, regardless of your preferred style and medium.
ART SG will be the perfect congregation where avid collectors, experts, galleries, artists, and even curious minds get to come together, complemented by Singapore’s multi-cultural landscape as a key hub within Southeast Asia.
For convenient navigation, ART SG is divided into four segments: the main GALLERIES sector, the FOCUS sector, the FUTURES sector, and the REFRAME sector.
At the FOCUS sector, visitors will find galleries that are presenting solo or duo artist programmes with curated themes. The FUTURES sector showcases galleries under six years old, while the REFRAME sector highlights galleries that deal with digital art and virtual endeavours.
Other highlights to look out for will include a curated film sector, large-scale public installations, inspiring discussion panels and more.
In a bid to encourage a new generation of collectors and engagement with the arts, ART SG will also house a NEW/NOW sector dedicated to artworks under $10,000, where we’ll get to explore international works by emerging artists, including Singapore’s own budding stars.
