The Singapore Cocktail Festival returns with their biggest Festival Village yet
Celebrating the best of our city’s nightlife and bar scene, artisanal cocktails take centre-stage every year with the advent of the Singapore Cocktail Festival.
Boasting their biggest Festival Village yet, the annual festival kicks off on May 05 for 3 days at the Bayfront Event Space. Returning for a total of 17 days in a vibrant showcase of our country’s top cocktail bars, best craft beverages, acclaimed bartenders, and all the good things that come with booze – including delicious bar bites and street food.
“Shaking Up New Possibilities” this year, head over to the sprawling Festival Village where you’ll get to witness the skills and taste the craft by headliners from around the region, including the team from Taipei’s Indulge Experimental Bistro, Hong Kong’s Penicillin, and Sydney’s Maybe Sammy, alongside our very own The Elephant Room.
Adding a layer of refreshing novelty to the action, three local hobbyists will also be presenting their unique recipes using JURA whisky, which debuts on our shores at the Singapore Cocktail Festival. Highlighting the bold and complex flavours of the whisky, try the West Oriental, with notes of chrysanthemum and oolong, the JURA-Teh with Teh-O liqueur, and Tang Collins, balanced with red dates and dried longans, available on May 05, 06, and 07 respectively.
Featuring interactive pop-up experiences, hyped-up live entertainment, a Food Street to satisfy your appetite, and even an Artisanal Spirits World showcase of samples from top distilleries, festival-goers can look forward to enjoying over 30 brands of craft spirits and more than 100 craft cocktails while they let loose and have fun with like-minded people at the Village from May 05 to 07.
Happening from May 05 all the way till May 21, the Singapore Cocktail Festival’s City Takeover will bring fans and cocktail lovers all across the island with exciting bar crawl tours, boozy weekend brunches, exclusive workshops, and curated experiences with limited-edition tipples specially created for the Festival.
Throughout the Takeover, look out for these exclusive SGCF Signature cocktails at 47 of Singapore’s most outstanding bars and enjoy all of them at a nett price of $18 by simply turning up with an SGCF wristband.
From Barood’s Hendricks Gin-based Ca’a, Analogue’s Naked Malt Whisky-based Penicillin Fizz, and Alley Bar’s smoky Mikan Souchong with Four Pillars Gin, Japanese Mikan, and pine-smoked black tea, to the aromatic Flowers of Symphony at ATLAS and Manhattan’s full-bodied Beyond The Sun – just to name a few – it’s truly high time to gather your buddies, head out with your posse, and enjoy the best our local bars have to offer this season!
